Wakefield College reduce the amount of library fine invoicing they had to send out by 60% after a short time using the LMS module within MyPC!!!!
"MyPC has definitely revolutionised the way we run our open access computing. Both students and staff got used to the system very quickly, and the benefits have been enormous."

We’d never go back to the old system now. We mainly bought MyPC as a way of controlling bookings, which it does very effectively, but we didn’t expect the other things that came with it– mostly, the improved behaviour of students and a more studious atmosphere throughout the LRCs.

Spreadsheet layout shows when computers are available and allows students or staff to book them via a web browser or dedicated booking station(s). Librarians and support staff can also book computers for a user or a class.
For each booking made a receipt can be printed for reference and to act as a reminder of each booking. |
Session length is constantly monitored with warning messages appearing at pre-configured intervals prompting the user to save their work. When their session expires the user is gracefully logged off and all programs are closed leaving the machine ready for the next user. Staff intervention is never required. |
Corporate colours and logo can be included on the client logon and booking screens, as MyPC is fully customisable to reflect your corporate identity. MyPC 3 also offers replaceable graphics for the status screen. MyPC 3 allows organisations to select the font type, size and colour of the text used in MyPC client-side messages and warnings. |
MyPC allows for flexible licensing so you can start small and expand the system as you require. |
Administrators can see exactly which computers are in use or available at any given time and can easily remove faulty PCs from the system to prevent accidental booking. This information is automatically refreshed to show accurate status of computers. When a booking is being made MyPC 3 also features a zoom facility that will lock down view settings for individual users. |
Tutors, librarians and support staff can book computers further ahead than students to allow block booking for classes or groups of users. Limits can be set for the number of future bookings a user can make. MyPC's calendar configuration also allows days to be blanked out such as bank holidays. |
Administrators can send messages direct to users and terminate their session early if necessary. |
MyPC can display a compulsory Acceptable Usage Policy (AUP) which if not accepted by the user will log them off! |
Users can be banned from the system but can still participate in block bookings when part of a class or group as MyPC does not require them to be disabled in NT, Active Directory or NDS. |
MyPC is completely web based so computers, sites, and even banned users can all be controlled by the administrator from their web browser without visiting the server room. MyPC 3 supports both internet explorer and Mozilla Firefox web browsers. |
Comprehensive reports can be compiled listing which computers have been used, where and by whom. These are all web based and can be extracted into CSV format for easy manipulation.
MyPC 3 can be internationalised to support any European language including those that use Cyrillic alphabet including Greek.

Fully integrates with leading print charging methods supplied by ITS. |
