Mirtrak:
Mirtrak is a system designed to track activity on computers through the use of an “ultra-lean” client which is installed on workstation computers.
The following events are tracked: Power On, Logon, Logoff, Shutdown and System crash; based on this data the following Mirtrak reports are available:
- In use time – This report shows the total time users were logged into the specified machine or all machines
- Idle time – This report shows the total time when the computer or computers were powered on but there were no users logged on
- Uptime – This report shows the total time when the computer or computers were powered on (either with users logged on or not)
- Usage by IP Address – This report shows the “In Use Time”, but instead of classifying the computers by Name, they are represented by the IP Address used
- System crash – This report shows all computer “crash-like” events, in which the user session is terminated without a proper logout being performed
(e.g. the system crashes, the power button is pressed, there is a power cut, etc)
- Usage comparison – This report shows a pie chart displaying Off Time (when a computer was switched off), Idle Time (when the computer was not logged on)
and Usage Time (when the computer was logged on)
- Usage time – This report shows the Total Usage time for the specified user
- Computer use – This report shows computer usage time for the specified user broken down by computer NetBIOS name
All Mirtrak reports can be summarised in a variety of different graphs to illustrate findings.
Mirtrak supports Windows 2000, XP and Vista including Novell clients.
